2 Corinthian 9:6 says "Whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
We believe in the truth of this verse, as we see the fruits of past and present generosity in the faces of the precious children who walk through the doors each day. These gifts have enabled Marion Academy to cultivate a refined vision for providing an education that prioritizes Christ, community, and experiential learning education to the children of Perry County, Alabama and beyond.
Being located in an "economically distressed" community presents unique challenges to Marion Academy. We were fortunate enough to have the ability to sell our former facilities to completely eliminate our debts in 2020 during the height of the pandemic, but, even being in a better financial situation now than we have been in recent years, we still are presented with daily challenges and want to be financially wise in the face of the unexpected.
We are looking for friends who can commit to a one-time or monthly tax-deductible donation to Marion Academy, to help us secure Christian education in Perry County for years to come.
We also have non-monetary needs that could be met with in-kind donations of materials, curricula, etc.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with projects and names to add to our substitute teacher pool. Please note that volunteers may be subject to background checks depending on amount of interaction with children or presence on campus.
One way you can partner with what we are doing at Marion Academy is to pray with us regularly as we seek to follow God’s calling for our school. We aim to build a community of prayer partners we can keep updated with specific prayer requests.
