Marion Academy, founded in 1988, is a private, nondenominational school which adheres to the doctrinal statement of the Alabama Christian Education Association (ACEA). It is intended that each student will obtain a Christ-centered and Biblically-integrated education with an emphasis on academic excellence.
Marion Academy has students in grades PrepK-12. Total enrollment is approximately 110 with about 50 students in the high school. The total faculty and support staff numbers 16, and the system is divided into Elementary (PrepK-6) and High School (7-12). MA is governed by a board of Christian parents and professionals and is directed by a chairman and a principal. All faculty members have Bachelor’s degrees.
Marion Academy is an independent Christian school and is fully accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Generally, 90-95% of MA graduates attend 4-year colleges and universities.
